Our Beliefs, Doctrines & Statement of Faith At Christian Net, our beliefs are rooted in the unchanging truth of the Bible, which we receive as the inspired and authoritative Word of God. These doctrines shape everything we believe, teach, and practice as a church community. We joyfully stand within the historic Christian faith, united with believers across generations and around the world. The following statement summarises the core convictions that define our faith and fellowship. 1. The Bible We believe that the Holy Scriptures, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God. They are fully trustworthy, without error in all that they affirm, and are the supreme authority for faith, doctrine, and Christian living. The Bible reveals God’s will, teaches the truth of salvation, and guides the believer into righteous living. 2. God We believe in one true and living God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is holy, loving, just, merciful, sovereign, and unchanging. He is the Creator of all things, sustains all things, and governs all things according to His perfect will. 3. Jesus Christ We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world. He rose bodily from the dead on the third day, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father as Lord of all. We believe He will return again in glory to judge the living and the dead and to establish the fullness of God’s Kingdom. 4. The Holy Spirit We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, sent to glorify Jesus Christ and to apply the work of salvation to believers. He convicts the world of sin, leads people to repentance, regenerates the heart, and dwells within all true believers. The Holy Spirit empowers the Church for witness, produces spiritual fruit, and distributes gifts for the building up of the body of Christ. 5. Humanity and Sin We believe that all people are created in the image of God, giving every person dignity, worth, and purpose. However, through sin, humanity fell from its original righteousness and is now separated from God. Every person is in need of salvation, which cannot be achieved through human effort or good works. 6. Salvation We believe that salvation is entirely by the grace of God, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection provide the only means by which sinners can be forgiven, reconciled to God, and given eternal life. Salvation is a gift of God, not earned, but freely received by repentance and faith. 7. The Church We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all true believers, both locally and globally. The Church is called to worship God, grow in discipleship, care for one another, and proclaim the Gospel to the world. Every believer is called to active participation in the life and mission of the Church. 8. The Future We believe in the personal and visible return of Jesus Christ. There will be a resurrection of the dead and a final judgment. The redeemed will enter eternal life with God in a new heaven and new earth, while those who reject Christ will face eternal separation from God.
